I’m GOBSMACKED! Squueeee:) A big TY to Kate’s Reads, a wonderful book reviewer and book lover, for giving me the Versatile Blogger Award. I was plugging away on edits today when her lovely email turned up in my inbox and I have to say it made my day. Click here to read Kate’s post!

SO….what’s the award all about?

Well, I thought it meant that I could write novels, do laundry, take out the garbage, make emergency runs to the bank and grocery stores as well as the doctor, garden, gab with friends & txt endlessly, be as squirrely as all get out when I should have my BIC for edits and make it all feel like I’m working when I manage to cough up a blog post every once in a while. Since that’s pretty much my M.O. But no, it actually means so much more! Here’s how Kate summed it up:

This lofty-sounding award is basically a mutual admiration society where bloggers recognize their peers for writing quality blogs that touched them in some way. The VBAs honor the blogger rather than specific posts. It’s a chance for bloggers to pat themselves on the back like the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences does with the Oscars. Until someone starts giving out Blogscars, the VBAs will have to suffice.

*sigh*
